PADI Open Water Diver Course

What You will Learn:

The Fun Part:
The fun part about this course is... well, just about all of it because learning to dive is an incredible experience; between breathing underwater for the first time (Which is something we can personally say is an experience you will never forget!) and learning what you need to know to become a certified diver you'll find yourself trying to figure out what is more interesting! During this course, you'll make at least five pool dives and four dives at local dive sites under the supervision of one of our PADI Dive Instructors.
The SCUBA Gear You Will Use:
In the PADI Open Water Diver Course, You will learn to use basic SCUBA gear, including a dive computer and other standard accessories. The equipment you wear will be chosen by Narcosis Scuba Center Representatives to ensure your comfort throughout the course.
The Learning Materials You Will Need:
PADI offers a variety of home-study materials for the Open Water Diver Course - book and DVD package or a multimedia DVD. Recently PADI has enhanced this program by offering the learning materials in an E-Learning environment Via the Internet.

PADI's Open Water Diver materials cover what you need to know about basic SCUBA Diving Skills, terminology, and safety procedures. For each concept, you,ll read a description and watch a video demonstration, from their you'll jump in the pool (Or a pool-like environment) to practice these skills with your instructor.
Scheduling Options:
If the student arrives for a session (whether classroom, pool dive or open water dive) but has failed to complete any home study it may be necessary to continue to course at a later date. The student will be responsible for any additional costs and/or inconveniences this causes. In scheduling and determining additional costs, narcosis Scuba agrees to give every reasonable consideration to unforeseen events that lead to this situation. Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to session to be considered.

- Classroom session $50
- Pool Dive $70
- Open water day $100
- Regulator repair $50 (all rental regulators must have dust cap replaced correctly)
Open Water E-Learning Course:
- The E-Learning portion is set at your own pace.
- Our E-Learning course takes 4 days to complete.
- The pools and dives are scheduled along with our Group course.
- There are 2 days of pool sessions on Wednesday and Thursday from 5-9:30pm.
- Finally, that Saturday and Sunday are the 4 Open Water dives.
Open Water 3 Day Course:
- Similar to our E-Learning Course, the E-Learning portion is set at your own pace.
- The pools and dives are done in 3 days, usually consecutive.
Open Water Private:
- Our Private course is for one-on-one instruction, set at your pace.
- Allow for a minimum of 3 days for completion.
- Course materials / E-Learning Code
- Classroom sessions (Group and Private only)
- Pool sessions and dives
- Rental of Tanks, Regulators, BCD's, and weights* (Pool use only)
